Leafield is a small village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, sitting on high ground at the western edge of the Cotswolds. It has the character of a traditional rural settlement, with stone cottages, a parish church and lanes opening onto farmland and woodlands, and its elevated position offers wide views over the surrounding valleys.
Historically an agricultural community, Leafield saw some 20th‑century activity from a nearby wartime airfield and later light industrial and communications uses, but it remains largely rural. Today village life is quiet and community‑focused, with a village hall and pub, popular walking routes and a mix of long‑standing residents and commuters travelling to nearby market towns and Oxford.
