Debenham is a large village and civil parish in the district of Mid Suffolk, in rural Suffolk, England, lying roughly 12 miles north of Ipswich. Historically a market village, it still has a compact high street with a pleasant mix of timber‑framed cottages and Georgian houses clustered around a medieval parish church.
The local economy remains tied to agriculture alongside a number of independent shops, pubs and small businesses, and the village is known for an active community life with clubs, seasonal events and community‑run services such as the library. It’s a good example of traditional Suffolk village living and a handy base for exploring neighbouring market towns and the surrounding countryside.
