Lea Bridge is an inner-London ward in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, straddling the banks of the River Lea and centred on Lea Bridge Road. The river corridor and the adjacent Lea Valley Regional Park give the area a mix of waterways, reservoirs and green space alongside long terraces and former industrial sites, so it feels like a transitional zone between urban neighbourhoods and the more open valley.
Historically a hub of mills and light industry, the area still shows that industrial heritage while evolving: the local railway station reopened in 2016, improving links to central London and helping spur regeneration. The ward is ethnically diverse and economically mixed, with council estates alongside converted warehouses, independent shops and studios, and it benefits from being close to Walthamstow, Leyton and amenities around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
