Croft is a small village and civil parish on the eastern edge of the borough of Warrington in Cheshire, North West England. Set in a largely rural landscape a few miles from Warrington town centre, it has traditionally been an agricultural settlement but now functions largely as a commuter village with some light industry nearby; good road links (notably the M6 and M62) make Manchester and Liverpool readily accessible.
The name comes from the Old English word for a small enclosed field, and Croft still feels villagey, with a parish-minded community, local clubs and countryside footpaths. Historically the area was associated with Lancashire before the 1974 reorganisation, so it reflects cross-county influences; day-to-day life tends to revolve around the village hall, local groups and nearby employment and retail centres in Warrington and the wider region.
