Comber West sits on the western side of the market town of Comber within the Ards and North Down borough of Northern Ireland, lying close to Strangford Lough and roughly a short drive from Belfast. The ward combines suburban housing and small pockets of farmland, and benefits from local green links including the former railway route now used as the Comber Greenway for walking and cycling.
Locally it shares much of Comber’s market‑town character and history, with long agricultural connections - most famously the town’s early potatoes - and a mix of small shops, community groups and commuters who travel to Belfast or Newtownards. Under the Ards and North Down council the area feels quietly residential yet connected to the wider economic and recreational life of the region.
