The area around Torr Head sits on the wild, rocky tip of the Antrim coastline in Causeway Coast and Glens, Northern Ireland. It’s a dramatic headland of cliffs and windswept heath with sweeping sea views towards Scotland, popular with walkers, photographers and anyone after remote coastal scenery and strong marine air.
Rathlin lies just offshore and is Northern Ireland’s only inhabited offshore island, famous for rich seabird colonies including puffins and razorbills and for its RSPB reserve. A small, close-knit community relies on fishing, small-scale agriculture and seasonal tourism, while archaeological remains and castle ruins hint at a long and often turbulent history; the island is reached by a short ferry from Ballycastle.
