Kilwaughter is a largely rural ward in Mid and East Antrim, within County Antrim in Northern Ireland. It occupies rolling farmland and pockets of estate woodland and is notable for the roofless remains of a 19th‑century country house set in a historic demesne, which gives the area a quietly dramatic historic character amid otherwise agricultural landscapes.
The local economy is mainly agricultural with many residents commuting to nearby towns such as Larne and along the Antrim Coast for work and services. Socially it retains a small, close‑knit community feel, with interest in landscape conservation and local heritage shaping occasional events and voluntary projects, and representation on the Mid and East Antrim borough council.
