Forkhill is a small rural village and ward in the Newry, Mourne and Down district of Northern Ireland, set in the rolling drumlin countryside of south Armagh. The landscape is a patchwork of hedged fields, small farms and areas of peat and bog, with the border to the Republic of Ireland not far away, giving the locality a quiet, rural character.
