Macduff is a small coastal town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, sited at the mouth of the River Deveron opposite Banff. It looks out over the Moray Firth and combines a working harbour with sandy strands, rocky coves and coastal walks, giving a strong sense of place and attractive sea views.
Having grown up as a fishing and shipbuilding port in the 18th–19th centuries, Macduff still carries a maritime character: fishing, seafood processing and harbour activity remain important alongside tourism. The town has a close-knit community with local clubs and events, easy access to coastal wildlife and countryside, and serves as a quieter gateway to the north‑east Scotland coast.
