Abersoch gyda Llanengan is an electoral ward in Gwynedd, north‑west Wales, covering the popular seaside village of Abersoch and the older coastal parish of Llanengan on the southern edge of the Llyn Peninsula. The shore along Cardigan Bay offers sandy beaches, a sheltered harbour and easy access to sailing and other watersports, making the area a well‑known destination for holidaymakers and mariners alike.
Locally the ward balances a strong Welsh‑speaking rural community and traditional farming and fishing links with a buoyant tourism economy; summer regattas, galleries, lively pubs and the parish church of St Einion in Llanengan add historic and cultural texture. Like many attractive coastal places it also faces social and economic pressures from seasonal demand and the growth of holiday homes, which shape local debates about services and community life.
