Wolfscastle sits in north Pembrokeshire, in a wooded valley on the main A40 route between Haverfordwest and Fishguard, with the rounded ridges of the Preseli Hills rising nearby. The parish is largely rural, with small streams, hedged fields and lanes favoured by walkers and cyclists, and benefits from proximity to the Preselis’ prehistoric landscape - famous for the bluestone outcrops quarried for Stonehenge.
The village grew up around a medieval castle site and earthworks still mark its historic core; its Welsh name, Casblaidd, hints at that past. Today the local economy is a mix of agriculture, small-scale tourism and services for passing traffic, and the community retains a strong village feel with local events, a village hall and a handful of traditional stone buildings and pubs serving residents and visitors alike.
