Winkfield is a largely rural civil parish in the borough of Bracknell Forest in Berkshire, England, made up of several small villages and hamlets just north-east of Ascot. Its landscape mixes farmland, pockets of ancient woodland and conservation areas, and it sits close to the sweep of Windsor Great Park, giving it a pleasantly green, semi-rural character despite being within easy reach of larger towns.
Locally there are strong historic and equestrian associations – the proximity of Ascot Racecourse and nearby royal land has shaped the area’s identity – while economically it functions in part as a commuter belt with good road links to London, Reading and Heathrow. The parish retains a village feel with active community groups, village halls and traditional pubs alongside small businesses and agricultural activity.
