Helsby

Helsby is a small village and civil parish in Cheshire West and Chester, England, set on the lower slopes of a distinctive sandstone ridge just inland from the River Mersey estuary. It sits close to Frodsham and commands long views across the estuary towards Liverpool and, on clear days, the hills of Wales, making it a visually striking spot for a compact community.

The ridge is crowned by Helsby Hill, the site of an Iron Age hillfort and a favourite for walkers and rock climbers, while the village itself has a strong local feel with shops, pubs and clubs and a mix of residents who often commute to Chester, Manchester and other nearby centres.
