Coverack is a small coastal village on the east side of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, England, set around a sheltered natural harbour with granite cliffs and clear Atlantic waters. The village sits on the South West Coast Path, making it popular with walkers, divers and sea swimmers, and it looks out towards the treacherous reefs known as the Manacles, which are associated with a number of historic shipwrecks.
Historically a fishing community, Coverack now combines a modest working fleet with a tourism-led economy of holiday cottages, cafes and boat trips; wildlife such as seabirds and seals is a regular draw. The community is small and seasonal, with local events and amenities geared towards visitors in summer while retaining a quiet, close-knit character the rest of the year.
