Feock and Kea sit on the southern edge of Cornwall, straddling tidal creeks and farmland around the sheltered waters of the River Fal and the broad estuary known as the Carrick Roads. The ward mixes coastal and rural landscape – small villages, woodland and hedged fields – with features like the National Trust gardens at Trelissick and the nearby King Harry Ferry linking into the Roseland Peninsula.
The area has a strong maritime and village identity: boating, sailing and shellfishing are part of everyday life, while agriculture and tourism underpin the local economy and many residents commute into Truro and neighbouring towns. Historic churches and settlements such as Old Kea give a sense of deep roots, and community halls and seasonal events keep the villages socially active without losing their relaxed, rural character.
