Helston North is the northern ward of the market town of Helston in Cornwall, covering residential streets and small local centres on the town’s northern side and along the valley of the River Cober. It’s primarily a mix of family housing, local shops, schools and green spaces, serving as a local service and commuter area for nearby towns and the coast.
Located within a town with medieval market origins and historic mining links, the ward shares in Helston’s strong community traditions - most famously the annual Flora Day procession - and benefits from good access to coastal scenery and the Lizard Peninsula, so tourism and outdoor recreation are modest but useful contributors to the local economy and social life.
