The village and parish of Linkinhorne sits on the southeastern edge of Bodmin Moor in rural Cornwall, characterised by rolling farmland, granite outcrops and open moorland. It is a scattered community of hamlets and farms gathered around a small medieval church, with lanes and footpaths popular with walkers and strong visual reminders of its industrial past on Caradon Hill.
Historically the area was shaped by tin and copper mining and still contains interesting industrial archaeology; today the local economy is largely agricultural, with tourism and small enterprises supplementing incomes. Community life remains lively for a rural area, centred on village halls, parish events and local pubs, preserving a distinct Cornish character.
