Shuttlewood is a small village in the district of Bolsover, in Derbyshire, England. It sits amid gently rolling farmland on the eastern fringe of the Peak District, within easy reach of local attractions such as Bolsover Castle and larger towns like Chesterfield.
Historically the village expanded in the 19th and early 20th centuries as part of the coal‑mining belt, and that industrial past is still visible in terraces and community structures. Since the pits closed it has become largely residential, with a close‑knit feel, local clubs and pubs acting as social hubs and countryside walks and village heritage appealing to visitors and commuters alike.
