Church Knowle is a small, rural parish on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, England, lying a short distance inland from the famous Jurassic Coast. The landscape is a mix of rolling farmland, heath and limestone ridges with views towards Corfe Castle and the fossil-rich shoreline around Kimmeridge Bay, so it feels very much part of the Purbeck countryside.
Historically the area has long farming and small-scale quarrying connections - Purbeck stone features across the locality - and the settlement pattern and old lanes reflect medieval roots. Today the parish remains quiet and community-focused, with an economy based on agriculture and the steady trickle of walkers and visitors drawn by the coast, geology and nearby historic attractions.
