Innsworth is a suburban village on the north‑eastern edge of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, England. It is largely residential, with post‑war housing, local shops, schools and a community centre, and sits within easy reach of the M5 and M50, and the larger centres of Gloucester and Cheltenham. The historic centre of Tewkesbury, with its medieval Tewkesbury Abbey and the floodplain of the River Severn, is only a short drive away.
The village’s character has been influenced by its military history - the site of RAF Innsworth was later redeveloped as Imjin Barracks and retains a Ministry of Defence presence - which has affected local employment and community life. Today Innsworth mixes suburban living with good access to countryside and river walks, and a small but active local social scene that reflects its civilian and military connections.
