The suburb of Boyatt Wood sits to the east of Eastleigh in Hampshire. It largely grew up in the late 20th century on former farmland and pockets of mixed woodland, which give the area its name, and is marked by green corridors, small play areas and footpaths that link into the surrounding Hampshire countryside.
Today the area is predominantly residential with a mix of private and social housing, local shops, a community centre and sports clubs; many people commute to Southampton and Winchester or use nearby rail and airport connections. The neighbourhood has a strong community feel, with volunteer groups and local activities centring much of its social life.
