Eastleigh Town sits in the borough of Eastleigh, in Hampshire, England, roughly midway between Southampton and Winchester. The parish is largely suburban but framed by notable green features such as the chalk stream of the River Itchen and nearby Itchen Valley and Lakeside country parks, which give residents easy access to riverside walks and wildlife-rich wetlands.
The town grew up in the 19th century around the railway works and still carries that industrial heritage alongside modern light industry, retail parks and commuter links into Southampton and London; Southampton Airport is also close by. Culturally it’s a practical, community-focused place with local shops, clubs and regular events, combining a working-town history with pleasant green spaces and good transport connections.
