Rockbourne is a small rural village and civil parish on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, England. Set among rolling farmland and pockets of ancient woodland and heath, it keeps a quiet, traditional character of stone and thatched cottages and provides easy access to walking, riding and wildlife-watching in the surrounding countryside.
Historically the village is best known for the Rockbourne Roman Villa, a nationally important archaeological site with mosaics and earthworks that attracts visitors and reflects the area's long history. Today the local economy is largely agricultural with many residents commuting to nearby towns, and village life revolves around the parish church, village hall and occasional community events, with the neighbouring New Forest shaping much of the local culture and outdoor lifestyle.
