Madley is a small village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, situated a few miles west of the cathedral city of Hereford. Set in rolling farmland and orchards typical of the county, it combines a traditional agricultural economy - apples, cider and mixed farming - with a scattering of small businesses, some of which occupy the site of the former Second World War airfield at RAF Madley.
The village retains a medieval parish church and a close‑knit community that organises village events, a primary school and a pub, and there are visible reminders of its wartime and communications history around the old airfield. Madley’s location, within easy reach of the Wales border as well as Hereford, makes it popular with commuters and visitors exploring the borderlands.
