Woolhope is a small, rural village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, a few miles east of Hereford. It sits on the rim of the Woolhope Dome, a locally famous geological anticline whose varied outcrops give the surrounding countryside unusual soils and good walking country with wide views over rolling farmland.
The village keeps a strong sense of community around its historic parish church and village hall, with an economy still centred on mixed farming, orchards and traditional cider-making typical of the county. Woolhope lent its name to the local Naturalists' Field Club, reflecting a long-standing interest in natural history and geology, and the area is popular with walkers, amateur geologists and anyone after a quiet slice of Herefordshire country life.
