The ward covers the villages of Sandridge and Wheathampstead just north of St. Albans in Hertfordshire, England. It is largely rural, with rolling countryside and the River Lea running through Wheathampstead; the area also bears traces of a long history, from prehistoric earthworks such as Devil's Dyke to medieval church sites and village cores.
