Vigo is a small civil parish on the outskirts of Gravesham in Kent, England, lying a short distance inland from the River Thames and the town of Gravesend. The area mixes suburban housing with pockets of greenbelt farmland and woodland, so there are pleasant walks and some elevated spots with views over the North Kent marshes and the estuary.
The parish name is thought to commemorate the 18th-century action at Vigo Bay, and the locality contains a blend of older farm buildings and more recent residential development. Functioning largely as part of the London and Medway commuter belt, its economy is a mix of local shops, small businesses and nearby light industry, while community life is focused around the parish council, village hall and countryside footpaths.
