Seal and Weald is an electoral ward covering the villages of Seal and Weald on the eastern edge of the district of Sevenoaks in Kent. It sits where the rolling farmland and woodlands of the Kentish countryside meet the edges of the North Downs and the High Weald, giving the ward a distinctly rural feel despite being inside the London commuter belt.
The area is notable for its historic village centres, traditional pubs, listed buildings and parish activities; the local economy is largely residential with agriculture, small enterprises and many people commuting to Sevenoaks or London. Community life is centred on village halls, clubs and countryside pursuits, and planning and conservation issues are often important locally as residents balance development pressures with preserving character.
