Halton-with-Aughton is a rural parish on the east bank of the River Lune, a few miles south of Lancaster in Lancashire, England. The area includes the villages of Halton and Aughton and is characterised by rolling farmland, limestone outcrops and wide views towards the Forest of Bowland; the Grade I-listed Lune Aqueduct, which carries the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, is a prominent historic landmark in the valley.
Economically the parish mixes agriculture with small local businesses and commuter households, while Halton Mill, a converted Victorian mill on the river, has developed into a creative and food hub that bolsters the local cultural scene. Towpaths, country walks and birdlife attract visitors and anglers, and a cosy village life of pubs, societies and events maintains a strong community spirit.
