Bellingham is a residential ward in the London Borough of Lewisham, in south‑east London. Much of the area is dominated by an interwar estate built by the London County Council, with tree‑lined streets, pockets of green space centred on Bellingham Green and the nearby River Ravensbourne; the neighbourhood is served by Bellingham railway station on the Catford Loop Line.
Originally developed as a large council estate in the 1920s–30s, the area retains a strong local identity, active community groups and a modest local high street. Ongoing regeneration, a mix of social and private housing and grassroots projects give it a socially diverse character and a growing profile for local investment and community activity.
