Woodhall Spa sits in the district of East Lindsey, Lincolnshire, England, and grew up in the 19th century after mineral springs were tapped, developing as a genteel Victorian/Edwardian health resort. The village is notable for its tree-lined avenues, well-preserved period buildings and its setting on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, giving easy access to rolling countryside as well as lowland wetlands nearby.
Today the local economy leans on tourism and leisure: the quirky Kinema in the Woods is one of Britain’s few surviving woodland cinemas and the national golf centre - including the highly regarded Hotchkin Course - draws golfers from across the country. Small independent shops, cafés, a cottage museum and enthusiastic community groups keep it lively, so Woodhall Spa feels more like a working village with a strong conservation and heritage focus than a faded resort.
