Swinderby is a small village and civil parish in North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England, set in gently rolling agricultural countryside. The village lies close to the A46 and is served by Swinderby railway station on the line between Nottingham and Lincoln, which makes it convenient for commuters as well as supporting a predominantly farming economy.
Locally the community is compact with a village hall, local social activities and the kind of village services you’d expect, but its character is also marked by nearby RAF Swinderby, a Second World War‑era airfield later used for recruitment and training until the 1990s; the former station site has since been partly redeveloped for small businesses and occasional events, so the village blends rural life, recent military heritage and light commercial activity.
