Scothern is a small village and civil parish in the district of West Lindsey, in the county of Lincolnshire in England. It lies a few miles north of Lincoln and is set among gently rolling arable fields and hedged lanes that underline its distinctly rural character.
With medieval origins and a historic parish church, the settlement retains a number of older cottages and farm buildings; agriculture has traditionally dominated the local economy, though many residents now commute to Lincoln or work in nearby towns. Community life is centred on the church, village hall and local groups, and the village maintains a notably strong sense of neighbourliness with occasional fĂȘtes and conservation-minded initiatives.
