Sefton Park is an electoral ward in the south of Liverpool, centred on the city’s large Victorian green space of the same name. The park’s sweeping lawns, boating lake, bandstand and Palm House give the neighbourhood a strong Victorian character and a conservation-area feel that shapes the surrounding streets of villas and terraces.
The ward draws a mixed population of families, professionals and students and is served by independent cafés, bars and shops along Lark Lane; it is relatively affluent compared with some inner-city districts. Community events, weekend markets and open-air music in the park are regular social fixtures, while good transport links keep residents closely tied to the wider economic life of Liverpool.
