Gressenhall is a small village and civil parish in the district of Breckland, Norfolk, England. It sits amid gently undulating farmland typical of the Breckland area - a patchwork of arable fields with pockets of heath and mixed woodland - and retains a compact, rural character of lanes, farms and a modest population.
The village is best known for its preserved farm and former workhouse, now a hands-on museum interpreting rural life and social history with events and educational programmes. Locally the economy is largely agricultural with some commuters to nearby towns, and community life centres on the parish church, the village hall and occasional local gatherings that celebrate the area’s heritage.
