Lothingland is a ward on the outer edge of the borough of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England, occupying part of the low-lying peninsula between the River Waveney and the River Bure. Its landscape is a patchwork of reclaimed salt marsh, arable farmland and small coastal settlements, with easy access to the waterways of the Broads National Park and the North Sea coast.
Locally there is a strong sense of maritime and agricultural heritage dating back to the medieval Lothingland hundred, while today the economy mixes farming, tourism and commuter links to nearby towns such as Norwich, alongside connections to the port and offshore energy sectors. The ward is noted for birdlife, boating and a scattering of tightâknit village communities that host traditional events and modest local services.
