Paston is a small village and civil parish in North Norfolk, in the county of Norfolk in eastern England, lying a few miles inland from the North Norfolk coast and close to the market town of North Walsham. Set amid rolling arable farmland, the locality has long-standing agricultural roots while many residents now commute to nearby towns; the landscape still affords pleasant views towards the coastline and the wide skies typical of this part of Norfolk.
The parish is best known for its association with the medieval Paston family and the famous collection of fifteenth-century correspondence known as the "Paston Letters", a key source for understanding late medieval gentry and village life. Paston retains historic buildings, including an older parish church and a manor house, and supports a small, active community with local events and a strong sense of local identity that reflects both its rural economy and long history.
