Mundesley is a small coastal village on the east coast of Norfolk, in the district of North Norfolk, England. It sits on low, eroding cliffs above a mix of sandy and shingle beach and grew as a late‑Victorian seaside resort once rail and holiday travel expanded, so it still has a promenading feel and regular summer visitors. The shoreline is popular with fossil hunters and walkers, and the village provides good access to long coastal paths and sea views.
Today the local economy leans on tourism - holiday cottages, caravan parks and cafés - alongside a small year‑round community of residents and retirees. Social life is quietly centred on village events, local pubs and beach activities rather than nightlife, and the continuing coastal erosion and sea‑defence work are an ongoing part of life for residents and visitors alike.
