Sea Palling is a small village and civil parish on the North Norfolk coast in the county of Norfolk, England. It occupies low-lying beaches, dunes and marshes typical of this stretch of coast, lying close to the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is known for its mix of sandy and shingle shore, caravan parks and a rather exposed, windswept character.
Historically a fishing community with the usual coastal tales of smuggling, Sea Palling is also notable for its long struggle with coastal flooding - it was badly affected by the North Sea flood of 1953 - and now has a range of sea‑defences and an active local interest in beach nourishment. Today the local economy blends tourism, birdwatching and small‑scale fishing, while nearby nature reserves and seal gatherings around Horsey make it a popular spot for wildlife visitors as well as year‑round residents.
