Burton Leonard is a small village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, sitting a few miles from the spa town of Harrogate and the cathedral city of Ripon. It retains a traditional rural character with stone cottages, farmsteads and a village green, and lies within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Historically agricultural, the village now combines farming with commuter households and a handful of local businesses; community life centres on the parish church, the village hall and seasonal events such as fĂȘtes and cricket matches. Many buildings fall within a conservation area, and there is a visible local effort to balance heritage and landscape preservation with modern living pressures.
