Morley is a market town and civil parish in the metropolitan borough of Leeds, in West Yorkshire, England, lying roughly six miles south‑west of Leeds city centre. Set on the rolling foothills of the Pennines, it grew up during the Industrial Revolution as a centre for woollen textiles and coal, and still shows that history in its Victorian stone buildings and the traditional town centre layout.
These days Morley combines a strong local identity with commuter links into Leeds, offering a mix of independent shops, regular markets and light industry alongside community arts groups, sports clubs and local events. The town retains notable civic buildings and a lively high street, making it both a residential hub and a place with visible historical character.
