Follifoot is a small village in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, lying a few miles south of Harrogate and close to the historic estate of Stockeld Park and the village of Spofforth. Set in attractive, rolling agricultural countryside, the settlement has medieval roots and a name of likely Scandinavian origin, with traditional stone cottages, a village green and lanes popular with walkers and cyclists.
The local economy was long centred on farming but today combines agriculture with a significant commuter population working in Harrogate and Leeds, while tourism to nearby attractions such as Stockeld Park and the surrounding countryside brings occasional seasonal trade. Community life is typical of small English villages, organised around a village hall, local pub and parish activities, making Follifoot a quiet but well-connected place to live.
