Rhodesia is a very small civil parish in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire in the north of England. The area is characterised by a quiet, rural landscape of farmland, hedgerows and small copses, with a dispersed settlement pattern rather than a compact village and a low resident population.
Its history and character reflect the wider north Nottinghamshire mix of agriculture and 20th-century industrial change, with nearby coalfield communities and market towns such as Worksop and Retford providing services and employment. Today the parish appeals for its peaceful countryside, local farm buildings and the sense of a community that is closely connected to neighbouring villages and towns.
