Woodsetts is a small village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, in South Yorkshire, England. Sitting on the edges of open countryside it retains a distinctly village character – scattered housing, a village hall, a primary school, church and a couple of local pubs – and is surrounded by farmland and small woods with footpaths that appeal to walkers.
Historically modest and largely residential, Woodsetts has long been a commuter-friendly settlement thanks to good road links to nearby centres such as Sheffield and Worksop and the nearby M1. The local economy is mainly small-scale and service oriented, and the village is known for a strong community spirit, regular local events and an interest in protecting its rural setting from development pressures.
