Epperstone is a small historic village in the district of Newark and Sherwood, in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. Set among rolling farmland and small woodlands a short drive from Nottingham, it retains a traditional village green, several listed buildings and a parish church with Norman and later medieval fabric that hint at a long rural past.
The local economy is still largely agricultural, with many residents commuting to nearby towns and the city, and the village has an active community life with local clubs, occasional events and a network of footpaths that make it popular with walkers exploring the surrounding countryside. Its quiet lanes, stone cottages and historic features give it a distinctly rural Nottinghamshire charm.
