Aslockton is a small village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, England, sitting a short distance east of Nottingham and close to the market town of Bingham. It has a handy railway station on the Nottingham–Grantham line, making it popular with commuters while remaining set among agricultural countryside.
The village is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Thomas Cranmer, the 16th‑century Archbishop of Canterbury, and you can still see memorials and an historic parish church reflecting that legacy. Today Aslockton combines a handful of historic buildings with a tight‑knit community feel - village hall, pub, school and local clubs - and an economy rooted in farming alongside residents who work in nearby towns and cities.
