Chadderton North is the northern part of the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, within Greater Manchester. It lies on the edge of the urban area north-east of Manchester, and its streets reflect a mix of Victorian terraces and post‑war council housing interspersed with remnants of the 19th‑century cotton and textile industry that shaped the locality.
Today the ward is largely residential with local shops, community centres and green pockets, and many people commute into Oldham and Manchester for work. Recent regeneration has focused on repurposing former industrial sites and improving housing and services, so the area combines a strong working‑class identity with slow, steady change.
