Bodicote is a large village and civil parish on the southern edge of Banbury, in the district of Cherwell, Oxfordshire, England. Historically a separate settlement, it is now largely contiguous with Banbury and sits amid gentle lowland countryside close to the course of the River Cherwell, with good road links that make it convenient for commuters to Oxford and the wider region.
The name comes from Old English, often interpreted as "Boda’s cote", and the village retains a mix of period buildings, a village hall, local pubs, a primary school and active community groups. Largely residential today, Bodicote nonetheless shows a strong local identity and ties into Banbury’s economy while keeping the character of a traditional Oxfordshire village.
