Brinsworth is a suburban village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, in South Yorkshire, England. Lying on the urban fringe between Rotherham and Sheffield, it functions largely as a residential and commuter community with good road and public transport links into the nearby towns. The village feels compact and village-like despite its proximity to larger urban centres.
Historically the area grew with the coal and steel industries that shaped much of South Yorkshire, and today retains traces of that industrial past alongside newer housing and local retail. Community life is strong, centred on local schools, sports and social clubs, a community centre and small parks, giving it the character of a close-knit suburban community with easy access to surrounding countryside and city amenities.
