Sutton Heath is a small civil parish in East Suffolk, in the east of Suffolk, lying close to Woodbridge and the village of Rendlesham. The settlement grew around housing associated with RAF Bentwaters and the surrounding landscape of heath and mixed woodland, and parts of the former military estate have been repurposed as the Bentwaters Park business area.
The community is largely residential with a quiet, village feel and a strong local identity; many residents commute to nearby towns while local enterprises on the business park contribute to the economy. The mix of Cold War military heritage, accessible heathland for walking and its proximity to wider Suffolk attractions gives Sutton Heath a distinctive, slightly unusual character within East Suffolk.
